Happy Halloween, Sunshine!
These healthy caramel apples will rock your world. With 5 Simple Ingredients as the base recipe, these caramel apples will satisfy your sweet tooth, without sending you off to the dentist!
1/2 Cup Dates, Pitted
3-4 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
1 Tsp Cinnamon
Dash of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
Water, as needed
Combine Caramel ingredients in your food processor and pulse until the mixture forms a smooth paste. Start with only 3 tablespoons of the coconut oil and a dash of water, and add more if needed.
Next, spread the caramel paste over each apple, and roll the caramel apples in desired toppings.
I highly suggest drizzling your apples with dark chocolate at the end!
For my chocolate drizzle, I stir in a few drops of coconut oil into my nondairy chocolate to help it melt smoothly.
